Unfortunately, we cannot carry out IPL on those who are pregnant, have a skin condition or take particular medications. We will always discuss contraindications during your consultation.
Many of our clients see great results from just one IPL skin treatment; however, a course of three to four sessions is likely to be needed to combat conditions such as acne or rosacea.
It is likely that you will experience redness following your session, so you must care for your skin in a similar way you would with sunburn. Avoid sun exposure, heat (i.e. saunas and hot showers) and scrubbing the skin.
This will depend on the size of the treatment area. For example, treating pigmentation spots will take a matter of minutes, whereas acne will take longer. Once we have spoken through your desired results during your consultation, we can determine how long your sessions will be.
IPL cannot be carried out if your skin is damaged or sensitive, so we recommend avoiding sunbathing (including sunbeds), waxing and chemical peels for two weeks before your session.
“LasaDerm, You Really Are The Best”
"After getting adult acne out of nowhere a few years ago, I felt as if I’d tried everything to settle my breakouts, but LasaDerm completely restored my faith. They put together a treatment plan for me, including IPL and IMAGE skincare, and what a difference it has made. I can’t remember the last time my skin looked this clear and healthy. LasaDerm, you really are the best!"
