Highly Effective IPL Hair Removal

Not only can it be incredibly inconvenient to stay on top of hair removal, but unwanted body hair can also begin to damped self-esteem. Traditional methods of removal, such as waxing and shaving, are effective, yet only last for minimal time and can often cause rashes or ingrown hairs. Our excellent IPL hair removal in Milton Keynes, on the other hand, permanently impedes hair growth, ensuring that you can maintain silky, smooth skin without constant upkeep.

Removing hair using IPL involves bursts of high-intensity light energy directed towards the treatment area to target the hair follicles from the root. This light is absorbed by the melanin in your hair, which converts it into heat energy and therefore, damages the follicle. In most cases, the roots will not grow back, which means permanent hair reduction. Still, to ensure that any new roots are targeted, we always recommend annual top-up appointments once you have completed your initial course of sessions.

Laser Hair Removal For Face

While the most common treatment areas include the legs, underarms and bikini line, laser hair removal on the face is also extremely popular. This is an excellent option for those who experience excessive facial hair growth, regularly wax between their eyebrows or find that keeping their beard neat is time-consuming or causes irritation.

The process is the same as the above, and a targeted IPL device is used to ensure that precise areas of the face can be treated. At LasaDerm, we use only medical grade lasers, which are far more effective than those found in salons, allowing results to be maximised. It also ensures that we can tailor our treatment plans to fit your requirements.

Generally, our laser hair removal for face in Milton Keynes is most successful on those with dark hair but lighter skin, as it is easier for the laser to pick up the follicles; however, it can prove effective on others. The only hair type that is not likely to respond to this treatment is those who do not have any pigment, such as white or white-blonde hair.

Frequently Asked Questions

Interested in booking in for laser hair removal in Milton Keynes? Take a look at our FAQs for more information on this treatment.

At LasaDerm, we specialise in two different laser hair removal types, each of which comes alongside a slightly different sensation, but neither are painful. The Lightsheer™ ET feels similar to a pinprick, but the device is integrated with a cooling system, which reduces this. We also use the Lightsheer™ HS, which just feels warm on the skin so doesn’t require any cooling.
Immediately after your treatment, the skin on the treatment area is likely to be slightly red but should subside quickly. If you have sensitive skin, this may last a little longer, so you are welcome to use a cool pack or Aloe Vera to soothe the area. For the next few weeks after your sessions, you will also notice the hairs starting to fall out.
The length of your sessions depends on the treatment area – the bigger the treatment area, the longer the session. For example, the face can take just a few minutes, but full back can take up to an hour. We do use high-speed equipment, which means that sessions are often only around 15 minutes long.
As laser hair removal permanently damages the follicles, it is unlikely that the roots will grow back. However, there are some cases where, when you originally had your sessions, you may have had some empty follicles. Once these start to develop, you may notice hair growth from these, which is why annual sessions are always necessary.

Customer Testimonial

"I’d had laser hair removal from a salon year’s back, and it hardly did anything but after seeing how amazing the results that my friend achieved from going to LasaDerm, I decided to try again. I’m over the moon that I booked another course because the difference has been absolutely fantastic and the team have been wonderful throughout. Honestly couldn’t recommend LasaDerm more! "
